The Homestead is just that, a real homestead that was built in the 30s and then remodeled by oil man Carl E. Wynn in the late 60s.

We are located about 6 miles from he center of the downtown area of Homer. Located on the famous Skyline drive. This is one of the mose scenic drives you will ever make from town to our lodge. Up a scenic winding road to the top of the bluff. You will have breath taking panorama views of the the Kenai mountain ranges with its many snowcapped peaks with glacies winding around the mountain sides.
The lodge is adjacent to the Carl E. Wynns nature center. This is in the heart of a private nature preserve with miles of groomed hiking trails in the immediate area.
